Basketball-September 25th

This shoot was a lot of fun. Especially since the model Andre was great to work with and really showed some awesome basketball skills in front of the camera.

Running-September 25th

Did some more fitness/sports shooting around NYC.

Fitness

This shoot was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect and the model had tons of energy. Fitness models go through a lot on a shoot, I had her running back and forth numerous times and at one point I think she did over 50 push ups, non-stop.

Basketball- September 16th

This was one of those shoots where I saw the final image in my head very clearly, but I had to work to make it happen. We had to move quickly since there was a threat of rain the whole day and we had to kick some kids off the court while we shot, but in the end it all came together.

Early start

Got up really early today to scout for some up coming shoots. Getting out of bed before the sun came up has its advantages. I got to experience an amazing part of the day that I usually miss, and being in NYC I got to experience some empty sidewalks.

First time for everything

On September 7th for the first time ever, I did a car shoot. Overall it was not as difficult as I thought it would be. We did the shoot at an abandoned airport field which was a great location for this. There were some broken down buildings which made for cool backdrops and being in the middle of an air strip while shooting was awesome. Everyone on the set was fun to work with and I am very happy with the results.

Music promo - Amely

On September 2nd did a promo shoot with the band Amely. These guys are from Orlando, FL and were in the middle of their tour when they came through NYC. I was able to catch up with them for the shoot the day after their show. These guys were really easy to work with.

Summer Vacation

For me, summer is never complete with out a vacation. For this vacation I spent a few awesome days down in Mexico.

Music promotion - D.J. Havok

I've shot a few bands and a few female artists but I've never done photos of a D.J. before. At first I wasn't sure how to approach the shoot. Should I have him with headphones, with some records or a turntable? Instead of bringing props into the photo we decided to find a few cool locations and after I showed him the first shot I knew we were going to have a good shoot.

Life style shoot on the Hudson - August

I took a couple of days this summer to shoot using just my camera. I know that sounds weird but usually I bring a couple of lights with, especially outside, and I always use them. But being a true photographer I decided to see what I can do with just daylight, resulting in more life style photos. These were done right next to New York's beautiful Hudson River.

Music promotion - July

Shot images of Brooklyn based hip hop artist J-Brook. He was super easy to work with and I was very impressed by his enthusiasm and the drive he has for his music.

Life style shoot in the Bronx - mid July

Can you believe these photos were taken in the Bronx. It's funny how these photos have such a California feel to them. I went to school in Pasadena and there are many blocks that have this look. This shoot was with Wilhelmina model Sashalee. I've worked with her before and her energy was great in the shoot.

Music promotion - Makayla Duvall

Did the music promotion shots of Makayla Duvall, an upcoming recording artist based out of Boca Raton Florida. This was much different from all the guy bands that I have been working with. We were in an air conditioned studio, there were many outfit changes and lots of long blond hair.

Keep-A-Breast and PONY shoes- in stores

The advertisements that I did for Pony shoes and Keep-A-Breast.org are currently in select Finish Line shoe stores across the USA.

A Million Years - band shoot

On July 10th spend a few hours doing some music promo shots of the band A Million Years. Another great group of guys that introduced me to a different style of music. The shoot went really smooth and we got a lot of different set ups within a few hours.

ATV action - Mike Pilotte

On July 7th I did a shoot with top NEATV-MX Pro Mike Pilotte up on his training track in Connecticut. Catching action shots of a fast ATV rider isn't easy and I did end up with a bunch of dirt and sand on me and my equipment.

Here is me shooting, getting in the action:

BMX - Tyrese Jones of Chilly-O Clothing

On June 19th shot around lower Manhattan with Tyrese Jones for Chilly-O Clothing. We had a great session, only getting stopped by one security guard. The shoot went well into the night and Tyrese was nailing some amazing stuff.
